What is an ACH Prenote?
A prenote is a $0 test transaction you can use to confirm your recipient’s banking information prior to sending a live dollar transaction. It notifies the recipient that the sender intends to initiate one or more ACH transactions.
Written or verbal confirmation that your prenote successfully reached the intended recipient is strongly recommended before you send a live dollar transaction. If your prenote was unsuccessful, it will appear on your next ACH Return Redistribution Report.
To send a prenote, simply check the Create Prenote box when adding beneficiaries to a one-time payment or payment template. How do I send an ACH prenote
