How do I replace my RSA SecurID soft token?
Your RSA SecurID soft token expires 5 years from the time it was issued. Before your token’s expiry date, you’ll receive two emails from us:
- “It’s time to replace your BMO soft token – installation file included”
- “Your replacement BMO soft token: Import Password”
Note: If you don’t see these emails, please check your spam folder.
They contain everything you need to replace your soft token. Here’s how:
- Open the email called “It’s time to replace your BMO soft token – installation file included”.
- Double-click the .sdtid file attachment. This is your installation file and should automatically open your RSA SecurID software or app.
Note: On some devices, you may need to first choose Open and then RSA SecurID Software Token to open the attachment.
- When prompted, enter the password from the email called “Your replacement BMO soft token: Import Password”.
- Select OK.
- On the confirmation screen, select OK.
Success! Your replacement token is now ready to use with your existing PIN in Online Banking for Business.
