How do I replace my RSA SecurID soft token?
 
Your RSA SecurID soft token expires 5 years from the time it was issued. Before your token’s expiry date, you’ll receive two emails from us:
 
  • “It’s time to replace your BMO soft token – installation file included”
  • “Your replacement BMO soft token: Import Password”
    Note: If you don’t see these emails, please check your spam folder.
     
They contain everything you need to replace your soft token. Here’s how:
 
  1. Open the email called “It’s time to replace your BMO soft token – installation file included”.
  2. Double-click the .sdtid file attachment. This is your installation file and should automatically open your RSA SecurID software or app.
    Note: On some devices, you may need to first choose Open and then RSA SecurID Software Token to open the attachment.
  3. When prompted, enter the password from the email called “Your replacement BMO soft token: Import Password”.
  4. Select OK.
  5. On the confirmation screen, select OK.
Success! Your replacement token is now ready to use with your existing PIN in Online Banking for Business.
