How do I reassign ownership of an RSA SecurID token?

As an administrator, you can reassign an RSA SecurID hard or soft token to another user. Here’s how:

  1. In Online Banking for Business, select the Administration tab.
  2. Under “User Management”, choose Manage Users.
  3. Next to the user you want to assign a token to, select Modify User from the dropdown menu.
  4. In the “User Information” section under “RSA SecurID”, select Reassign a Token
  5. Under “From User”, choose a user and select the serial number of the token you want to reassign.
  6. Select Reassign Token.
  7. Select Save Changes.
  8. When prompted, confirm your identity with 2-step verification. What is 2-step verification?

You’ve successfully reassigned an RSA SecurID token to another user.

If you reassigned an RSA SecurID hard token, make sure that the new owner gets the reassigned physical token. The new owner can then create a new PIN and start using the token. Set up an RSA SecurID hard token

If you reassigned an RSA SecurID soft token, the new owner needs the installation emails that were sent with the original token. If the emails can’t be found, please contact our Technical Help Desk and request they be re-sent to the new owner. The new owner can then set up the token and create a new PIN.
