Settlement Timing
- For credit card payments, it depends on the merchant provider. Moneris settles within 24 hours (provided the end of day cut-off is on or before 2 p.m. CT - if not, then it will appear as 48 hours). This is due to the EDS deadlines for transmitting these files to Moneris.
- For EFT and ACH payments, a NACHA file is sent for the previous 24 hour period at end of day. You determine when the daily file should be cut off and sent for settlement. An ACH transaction clears within 24 hours (provided end of day cut-off is before 16:00 CT).
