Templates are your first step towards sending or receiving EFT payments. It’s an easy way to set up multiple EFT payers or payees and to define a common value date.
Note: You won’t need to create a template if you’re uploading your payments files directly via the File Transfer Facility (FTF) service. How to upload EFT payments files via FTF
In Online Banking for Business, click the Payments & Receivables tab.
Under "Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)", select Create Template.
Choose an EFT Account ID.
Enter a Template Name and Template Description.
Under “Payment Type”, select Debit for incoming payments or Credit if you’re sending money.
Note: This will set all payments in your template as either incoming or outgoing. A mix of both is not possible within the same template.
Choose a Payment Code that best describes your transactions.
Enter your company’s short and long name. Note: For more advanced options, select Prefill Information.
At the bottom of the page, click Save.
Under “Add Payers/Payees”, enter the details of a payer or payee and select Add to List. Note: You can add as many payers or payees as you like.
Once you’re done, click again Save at the bottom of the page. Note: This will also update your Total Payments and Total Amount.
Your new EFT template has been created. You can find it in “Manage EFT Templates”. Once it’s approved, you can use it to create EFT payments. How to create EFT payments.
If no approvals are required, you can process your payments immediately by clicking Save & Create Payments.
