How do I trace an EFT payment?
You can trace any EFT payments that have settled within the last 95 calendar days to see the real-time status details. Here’s how:
- In Online Banking for Business, select the Payments & Receivables tab.
- Under "Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)", select Manage Payments.
- Find the payments file with the payment you want to trace. Select the Number of Payments link.
- Next to the payment you want to trace, select Actions.
- Choose Trace.
Note: A standard fee applies to each trace
In the “Trace Payment” window, you’ll see the current status of your payment and a detailed history. To print your trace or save it as a PDF, select the
Print button.
To make reconciling incoming payments easier, you can view the EFT cross-reference number in your Account Information -
Detail Report and
Account Information -
Reconciliation Report. The cross-reference number uses the existing Customer Reference field in EFT payment files.
