How do I modify an open deposit in BMO DepositEdge?

If you enrolled in the DepositEdge service before March 6, 2026 and you haven't had a service upgrade since that date, please follow this link to find the right steps.

A BMO DepositEdge deposit will remain open if:

  • It has not yet been submitted.  
  • It has been rejected, and certain items need to be corrected or removed before it can be submitted again. 
  • It has been “promoted” by another user for completion. Note: This only applies if your company has the “Complete Open Deposits” feature enabled. How the “Complete Open Deposits” feature works

Here’s how to modify an open deposit in BMO DepositEdge:

  1. In Online Banking for Business, select the Payments & Receivables tab.  
  2. Under “DepositEdge”, select BMO DepositEdge
  3. On the BMO DepositEdge home page, under “Deposits”, select the Open tab. 

You’ll find a list of all deposits that are currently open. Select a deposit from the list, and then follow the steps listed here to complete and submit it: How to create a deposit in BMO DepositEdge

Once your deposit has been submitted, it will disappear from the list of open deposits.
