What items can I deposit in BMO DepositEdge?

If you enrolled in the DepositEdge service before March 6, 2026 and you haven't had a service upgrade since that date, please follow this link to find the right steps.

Here are the types of items you can and can't deposit in BMO DepositEdge:

Canadian dollar cheques drawn on a Canadian account

Utility bills

US dollar cheques from USD accounts drawn on Canadian and U.S. banks

Sundry foreign currency cheques

FirstBank Automated Clearing Service (FACS) and DirectCheque (DCH) cheques

Sundry cheques: deposit slips or similar items that do not have a MICR

FCCS Canadian deposits

FCCS USD deposits

FBPS Canadian deposits

Note: not for depositing bill payments

FBPS USD deposits

Money Orders

U.S. Postal Service domestic money orders

Settlement Vouchers; Official cheques

Re-presentment items and RRDs

MasterCard balance transfer cheques.

Photocopies of items

Provincial Savings Bonds that are accepted as clearing items today

Paper‑based remittances

Receiver General warrants

Image Replacement Documents (IRDs), RRDs and Clearing Replacement Document’s (CRDs)

Government cheques

Government of Canada marketable bonds

Canada Savings Bonds that are accepted as clearing items today

Government of Canada treasury bills

Certified cheques (if R/T field is hole punched/with Form 675, Certified Cheque sticker)

Debentures or coupons as addressed in CPA Rule H5

 

Compound interest blocks as specified in CPA Rule G3
